Soft-spoken Drew Barrymore caused a stir with her neighbors last night when her loud Halloween party forced them to call cops and complain ... TMZ has learned.

According to our sources, her Hollywood Hills neighbors phoned police shortly after midnight. We're told cops spoke with Barrymore and she rectified the noise situation and there were no complaints from then on.

Drew Barrymore fun fact -- according to IMDB, she was delivered by Dr. Paul Fliess ... who is the father of Heidi Fleiss.
