HBO to Adapt Pulitzer Prize-Winning A Visit From the Goon Squad For the Small Screen

comments: 0 || add yours On Monday, Movieline wondered whether Jennifer Egan’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A Visit From the Goon Squad would get some Hollywood adaptation attention this week. Just two days later, HBO announced that they have already snapped up the sprawling ’80s tale for a project of their own. According to Movieline’s sister site Deadline, the premium cable network was in talks with Egan before she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, but the Brooklyn author just closed the deal with HBO and Groundswell Productions (Milk, The Informant), who is on board to produce. Egan will get a consultant credit on the project; the network is still looking for a writer to pen a pilot based on the structurally complicated novel.
